Who Is Oryx Additive?

Oryx Additive is a revenue-generating, Arizona-based engineering and design additive manufacturing company. 


Our goal is to help drive the growth necessary for the additive manufacturing (3D printing) industry to reach the next level. We do this by developing wholistic solutions focused on customer interface and robust systems-engineering based solutions. 


As a company, we value being nimble, inquisitive and asking the right questions to understand our partners’ business and their production roadblocks. From this understanding we use knowledge and experience to develop innovative solutions to customer challenges.

Oryx Additive’s History in Additive Manufacturing 

Phoenix Analysis & Design Technologies (PADT) was founded more than 25 years ago to advance engineering through high-end design and modeling, engineering analysis and cutting-edge additive manufacturing methods. Oryx Additive emerged from the division at PADT responsible for the development of the Support Cleaning Apparatus (SCA) – an effective, less labor-intensive method for support Cleaning. Oryx recently spun off from PADT and now operates as an independent entity, with common ownership and advisors.

Oryx Additive’s SCA product family has become an invaluable tool for additive manufacturers across the globe, with more than 13,000 units currently in operation over the past 10 years.

Keith L. Jeffcoat, DEng, MBA, PMP is a strategic innovation process and product development expert with hands-on experience in all aspects of the product development life cycle, including upfront pipeline development, core research and development, manufacturing process development and sustaining engineering.

    His core skills are talent and leadership development, research and development, program/project management and manufacturing process development/implementation. Keith’s technical and leadership experience spans the gamut across successful early-stage startups to multi-national corporate organizations, including Merz Pharmaceutical and Johnson & Johnson. 


    He holds a Doctorate of Engineering in Systems & Engineering Management from George Washington University, an Executive MBA from Troy University’s Sorrel College of Business, a BS in Plastics and Polymer Engineering from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and is certified in the development of Strategy and Innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
